Best Practices & Resources for Tennessee Teachers of Kira's Middle School Course

At this session, Tennessee middle school teacher Andy Hebert shared valuable tips and new resources based on the experiences and work of Tennessee teachers who have taught Kira Learning's Middle School course, "Introduction to Computational Thinking and Programming."

Andy is developing resources we will continue to share that will help Tennessee teachers of this course align the content to the state content standards and employ teaching practices aligned with the state TEAM General Educator Rubric.

Kira staff also gave a demo of the Kira AI Tutor that is embedded into the coding activities in our courses and shared an overview of our user-friendly coding environment where students program a Platypus how to move.
